Shortly after S.S. "KINSHAN" was observed approaching

from the northward. I communicated with her and asked her

to summon H.M.S. "PETEREL".

"PETEREL" joined me at 1400 and

took over charge of the operations.

Ammunition expended

13 pans of Lewis Gun and about

30 rounds of rifle. The range was never less than about 1,000

yards. The coxswain and crew of "YUET TUNG" obeyed my orders

quickly and were of great assistance.
